Bios of the Panelists

Deepak Mittal (Speaker) is an accomplished serial entrepreneur with a proven track record in product, AI, and data Strategy. He is experienced in transforming an organization into an insight-driven, AI-enabled organization. Currently, Deepak holds the Founder & CEO position of NextGen Invent Corporation, a leading global professional services company that has always been at the forefront of providing solutions using disruptive technologies such as Agentic AI, Computer Vision, and Intelligent Automation. During his career, Deepak has served as a member of the Board of Directors of many companies including D4DT, Optym, CMR Institue, CBS Alum Club of New York and Launch Right Now. He is a strategic advisor of various organizations that grew from small start-ups to a unicorn or had successful exits. Deepak holds expertise in evaluating new product ideas, devising an appropriate product and AI strategy, transforming organizations into insights-driven organizations, and structuring strategic partnerships. Deepak has an MBA from Columbia Business School, and an M.S. in Industrial Management Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.


Beth Barksdale (Speaker) is the President/CEO of Encore Exchange, a 100% employee-owned company serving a national healthcare client base. Under her direction, the company became the leading provider of a unique, proprietary collection service with full integration into the most prominent Healthcare Information Systems. With the changes across the medical debt landscape, she is most excited about a new altruistic program the company is launching, which offers a Triple Win for patients, providers, and the communities they serve. Beth is a graduate of Salem College, Harvard Business School's Executive Leadership program, University of the South’s EFM program, and has her MDIV from Wake Forest University. Additionally, she is a candidate for ordination and is pursuing her doctorate from Union Presbyterian Seminary.


Lawrence O'Toole (Moderator) is Founder and CEO of LJO Advisors and Advisor at NextGen Invent, brings three decades of Healthcare IT expertise to the forefront. With 25 years at a major Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) company, he's a pioneer in modern healthcare technology. As Senior VP at a leading Medication Management Vendor, he drove substantial revenue growth and enhanced customer relationships. His strategic leadership has propelled hundreds of healthcare organizations into the digital age. Lawrence's multifaceted background includes military service and academia, enriching his leadership style with critical thinking. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at Endicott College, shaping future business leaders. As Vice Chairman of Common Well Health Alliance and a Director at JB's Keys to DMD, he advances healthcare interoperability and supports those with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. Lawrence's exceptional military service earned him the United States Meritorious Service Medal, reflecting his commitment to excellence and welfare. Lawrence also enjoys wine making, traveling, and adventurous activities with his wife and two children.
